Bob Evans Farms Issues Limited Voluntary Recall of Maple Sausage Links and Brown Sugar & Honey Sausage Links Products

NEW ALBANY, Ohio (September 13, 2018) — Bob Evans Farms announced today that the company issued a limited voluntary Class 2 recall of 46,734 pounds of Maple Sausage Links and Brown Sugar & Honey Sausage Links products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of clear hard plastic.

Bob Evans Farms received three complaints about potential small plastic pieces in the Maple Sausage Links product and moved quickly to launch a thorough internal investigation and isolated the products to a single manufacturing run made on one day, August 1, 2018, at the Xenia, Ohio, plant. As a precaution, Bob Evans issued the recall of the Maple Sausage Links and Brown Sugar & Honey Sausage Links products. No other products were affected and there have been no injuries reported.

The following products are subject to recall:

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST 6785.” These items were shipped to retail locations in Ind., Ill., Md., Mich., Mo., N.J., N.Y., N.C., Ohio, Pa., Va., and Wis.
