Crispy Sausage and Boursin Bites
These golden cakes are flavor-packed and oh so satisfying. The drizzle of honey and sprinkle of thyme takes these savory bites up a level.
Ingredients
- 1 Package Bob Evans Original Pork Sausage Patties (8-count)
- 1/2 Cup garlic and fine herbs cheese
- 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 Cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 3 Tablespoons hot honey
- 1 Tablespoon fresh thyme laves

- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Cook sausage according to package directions; drain on paper towels.
- Spread about 1 Tbsp cheese over each sausage patty.
- Place flour in a shallow bowl. Lightly beat eggs in a separate shallow bowl. Stir together breadcrumbs and oil in a third shallow bowl.
- Dredge cheese topped sausage patty in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in beaten egg, then dredge in breadcrumb mixture to coat. Place on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle with hot honey and sprinkle with thyme. Serve immediately.
For testing purposes only, we used Boursin cheese.
